| 50萬人上街，行使他們集會自由的權利，去捍衛言論、表達及資訊自由──這發生在2003年的夏天！香港人在這次運動中也許維護了自己的權利與自由；然而在彼岸的中國大陸，不論在現實生活或在網上世界，許多人仍在嚴密的監控下渡日，。異見人士往往因「顛覆國家」'「擾亂公安」等罪名而被拘留或監禁。 2009年，一個新條例要求所有在中國售賣的個人電腦須安裝名為「綠壩」的軟件，綠壩通常被要求預設在新購電腦或附設光碟套裝內，作用乃過濾網上被認為不適合的資訊與新聞。 無疑，中國在過去廿多年已發展成國際上的經濟政治強國，然一個國家的「進步」與「發展」同時必須要從人權的角度去理解，明顯地中國政府沒有尊重人民言論/表達的自由，以及發放/獲取資訊的自由。 請加入我們的行列，為爭取更大言論及資訊自由而努力，在7.1，一起要求中國政府尊重人權與自由，尤其是言論及資訊自由！ 日期/時間：7月1日(三) 下午3時正 集合地點 ：天后地鐵站恆生銀行 In 2003, half a million people filled the streets of Hong Kong, exercising their right to freedom of assembly, and their liberty to fiercely defend the freedom of expression and freedom of information. That was the year 2003. The Hong Kong people's rights and liberty may have been defended at that time, but across the border, many still live under severe restrictions and surveillance, both in real life and in cyberspace. Those perceived to be critics of the state risk being detained or face jail time in the name of "inciting subversion of state power" or "disturbing social order" to silence dissenting voices.. Liu Xiaobo - a human rights activist - was arrested on June 23, 2009 for "inciting subversion of state power". His participation in the Charter 08 initiative has not gone unnoticed, and now the state has come back for retribution. Fast forward to year 2009. A new rule is now in force requiring all personal computers sold in China to have Green Dam – a content-control software - pre-installed or shipped on a disc set, which is likely to be used to censor any information or news deemed unsuitable for the people. The advances of China as a political and economic world leader in the last two decades is undeniable. Yet these advancement and development has yet to be seen in the field of human rights.. And this is apparent from the lack of respect that the Chinese authorities for the people's right to free expression and freedom of information. Join us to march for greater respect for the freedom of expression and information for all. On July 1, let us call on the Chinese government to show the respect for the rights and freedom of the people, most especially the freedom of expression and information. | (一) 人權運動與時並進──國際特赦組織邁向2016 過去一年，AI 進行了一連串諮詢、檢討及問卷調查： 在劇變的政治經濟社會環境下，氣候變化與「恐怖主義」繼續塑造人權關注；隨著市場壯大與國家政府管治的虛弱、國際權力的轉移，尋求有效途徑處理國際危機，回應深化的貧窮問題，以至體現企業和國家政府問責，都是未來的挑戰；而大型人口移徙、對多元與不同的排斥、公民社會的改變，仍然是人權組織關心的議題… 面對新的國際形勢，社會急速變化，國際特赦組織根據一年的諮詢草擬了2010-2016「人權運動策略計劃」，歡迎你一起參與，表達意見。 日期：09年7月16日(四) 時間：晚上7時半-9時半 地點：國際特赦組織(香港)辦公室 (見地圖) 語言：粵語和英語 (二) 管治與問責──國際特赦組織邁向2016 要令AI在人權運動中發揮最大效用，內部的管治與問責亦同樣重要，組織內的資源分配、民主管治、運作與行政等，都影響一個組織的效率與工作成效，誠邀你一起參與，表達意見。 日期：09年7月21日(二) 時間：晚上7時半-9時半 地點：國際特赦組織(香港)辦公室 (見地圖) 語言：粵語和英語 1. Under the rapidly changing politics and economy landscape, climate change and "terrorism" have become key human rights concerns; the growing influence of the market, weakening governance of administrations and the shifting of international powers have created many new challenges that require solutions in areas such as the widening rich-and-poor gap and government accountability; massive migration which entails discrimination remains widespread.
